Know What You’re Made Of – Beloved Women – April 18, 2024
READ: “The Spirit of God has made me, and the breath of the Almighty gives me life.” (Job 33:4 ESV)
TODAY’S ENCOURAGEMENT: DNA testing to reveal our ancestry is a popular trend. Knowing the details of our ethnicity and connecting with our cultural heritage helps us know what we’re made of. However, we all share a singular spectacular beginning. The same God who breathed every syllable of Scripture, is the same God whose breath gives us life.
It's a life worth living through a faith worth growing. He has more in mind -- even if life right now is wonderful or if we wonder if wonderful will ever happen.
Through faith in Christ, there is spiritual DNA. His Divine Nature activates its power in every person who believes. (See 2 Peter 1:3 and 4)
We’re made for more than the damage we've caused and for what’s damaged us. We’re made for more than the threats our fears whisper or what our foolish pride promotes.
No matter what life looks like, I’m fearfully and wonderfully made. (Psalm 139:14)
I’m still discovering all God activates in me. It is a continual grace discovery. As we welcome Him to continue His work in our lives, we’ll be surprised to know what we’re made of.
PRAY: Dear God, You are my Creator and my Redeemer. You know everything about me. Regardless of my biological history, I’m made to know Your forgiveness and eternal life through Christ. May I yield to His DNA – as His Divine Nature activates everything You intend for me. In Jesus Christ’s Name, I pray, Amen.
