Word Power – Beloved Women – April 17, 2020
READ: “Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruits.” (Proverbs 18:21 ESV)
TODAY’S ENCOURAGEMENT: Years ago, my kids used to watch a show called "Word World." The show was intriguing, as the characters recognized that their words shaped the atmosphere around them. Quite literally, every aspect, animal and object in the show was a creation of the words they spoke. For instance, a pig in the show would be a clever usage of the letters p-i-g to create the drawing. When solving issues, the incorrect words at the incorrect moment resulted in the incorrect object being created. Every word had power!
Truthfully, this show reflected the power of our words! God has given you the power to proclaim, create, decree, unlock heaven's blessings through your WORDS! In the same way, you can be self-sabotaging yourself DAILY with your words! Speaking words like, "I am always sick," or "I am not good enough." Instead, let God's words be your words!
His words will speak peace to your chaos. They will speak victory to your battle. When you speak His words, you will always find yourself in a winning position.
Today, evaluate if you spend your time speaking words that are creating hope and love, or pain, curses, and defeat?
Friends, check your vocabulary!
PRAY: Father, teach me to use my words appropriately. Help me to remember the power of my words and thoughts. Lord, teach me to align my words to Your Word and Your will. In Jesus’ Name, I pray, Amen.
