Endure The Race Before You – Beloved Women – May 22, 2020
READ: “Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us also lay aside every weight, and sin which clings so closely, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith.” (Hebrews 12:1-2 ESV)
TODAY’S ENCOURAGEMENT: Life hits us hard sometime even when we are confident and doing what God has asked us to do. We get shaken and want to shrink back. God in His Word sent us Hebrews 12:1-2 that says we must run with endurance the race that is set before us and look to Jesus. He knew that following Him and doing what He has asked will not always be easy. We will meet opposition, hard times, and things will not always go as smooth as we thought. However, when we look to Jesus, the founder, and perfecter of our faith; we can endure.
When we cling to Jesus and His Word, the impossible becomes possible. It is in Him,and not our own strength, that we can do and finish the race set before us. Be encouraged that no matter what your current circumstance is, keep looking to Jesus and He will make it possible for you to stay in the race. Keep running with eyes up and on Jesus.
PRAY: Lord, help me to run the race that You have set before me. May I cling to Jesus and His Word and keep my eyes Heavenward. Help me to endure and not grow weary. In Jesus’ name, I pray, Amen.
