Multiplied efforts and territory
God is amazing in that He brings people together with shared passions and visions who share different gifts and talents. A Warrior Mom who has volunteered to create our contact management database by tailoring the software that we purchased as well as simultaneously uploading all of our (over 5,000) contacts, recently sent me an email that she spent 6 hours cleaning up the contacts. Subsequently, she said, “There are 219 First United Methodist Churches, 143 First Southern Baptist, and 92 First Presbyterian.” At our last meeting, we decided that we needed something to help us distinguish between all of them. She has been diligently working ever since.
This morning, after spending 5 hours editing a book and working on this book, I told God, “There is so much to do.” I was thinking of the work for my part-time job as well as the work for school, and a grocery store trip I needed to make. After reading her email, God reminded me that He multiplies our efforts and in so doing expands the territory gained by bringing people together with united passion and different gifts, talents, and assignments. I thought about how my friend worked 6 hours yesterday unbeknownst to me, and I was reminded that I am not doing all this and I am not supposed to do all this, and God specifically sent many other members of the team to accomplish different tasks for the same over-all purpose.
I also remembered that another friend was in Puerto Rico, editing The Warrior Mom Leadership Manual; another friend was working on publishing matters; another friend was working on graphic design and layout matters; another friend was working on books and banking stuff; and many existing and new Warrior Mom Leaders were preparing for new Warrior Mom classes that will start in the Fall. I also remembered that another bilingual friend was down the road translating The Warrior Mom Handbook into Spanish, and I sat back and exhaled and told God, “Thank you that YOU multiply our efforts and expand our territory when we work for You!
I thank my God every time I remember you. In all my prayers for all of you. I always pray with joy because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now, being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.
