January 4, 2022 – Confidence in the Promises of God
Sermon: 2195 – Five Principles of Prosperity
Pray Over This
“‘This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.’”
Ponder This
You want to encourage your confidence? Get in the Word of God. Read the Scriptures. Saturate your soul with the Scriptures. You want a promise for a new year? Today’s verse says: “‘This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.’” Wait before God until you get a promise and let that promise come out of the Word of God. We are not meant to take confidence in ourselves, but we can always take confidence in God and His promises. As you think toward this coming year, let your confidence rest in God and what He has promised.
- What are some of your favorite promises of God?
- How does your confidence in God’s promises grow as you spend time in His Word?
Practice This
Write a list of at least five of your favorite promises of God found in Scripture. Spend time meditating on the truth of these verses.
