Brian Houston, the founder and former Global Senior Pastor of Hillsong Church, is planning to share his story in a new book.
"I'm writing my story. It's a big job and may take a while. But gee, there's a lot to praise God about," Houston wrote on X.

"My book will lift the lid and tell the untold story. But it will also tell the amazing story of God's grace and blessing," he wrote in a follow-up post.

As Christian Headlines previously reported, Houston was cleared of all charges against him last month following allegations of him covering up his late father's sexual abuse of children.
"The Crown submits that the reason was that the accused was trying to protect the reputation of the church and his father," Crown Prosecutor Gareth Harrison said during his closing arguments in the trial at the time.
Houston, who co-founded Hillsong with his wife Bobbie Houston in Sydney, Australia, in 1983, stepped down from his position with the global megachurch last year to focus on the trial and court proceedings.
In March 2022, he formally resigned as Hillsong's Global Senior Pastor after two women accused him of sexual misconduct.
In April, Houston pleaded guilty to driving under the influence after being arrested in February 2022, less than a month before he resigned from Hillsong. The global megachurch is currently being led by Phil & Lucinda Dooley.
Hillsong Church, which has 27 locations worldwide, has been plagued with scandals amongst its leadership in recent years, including the firing of Hillsong NYC pastor Carl Lentz over leadership and moral issues.
Earlier this month, Houston's daughter and son-in-law announced plans to plant a new church in Sydney.
"We love His church. Past, present…aaaand future. We filmed some late night talkin'. Turn the sound up, hear our hearts & stay tuned for more details in the weeks & months to come. We're planting a new church. Much love. Pete & Laura", the couple wrote in the caption of an Instagram video.
Houston, in the comments section, wrote, "I'M IN. SEE YOU THERE!!"
