December 18, 2023 – Can You See Beyond Human Perspective?
1 Corinthians 2:15-16
Sermon: 1143 How to Know God through the Bible, Part 2
Pray Over This
“But he who is spiritual judges all things, yet he himself is rightly judged by no one. For ‘who has known the mind of the Lord that he may instruct Him?’ But we have the mind of Christ.”
1 Corinthians 2:15-16
Ponder This
Do you know a good prayer for when you begin to study the Word of God? It is Psalm 119:18, “Open my eyes, that I may see wondrous things from Your law." When you pray that prayer and are filled with the Holy Spirit, a part of you will know that “never knew before” and a part of you will see that “never saw before.” People who live by divine illumination are going to be a mystery to those around them. Today’s verse says, “But he who is spiritual judges all things.” That is, he or she has a penetrating insight into the way things work. These people have supernatural wisdom. “Yet he himself is rightly judged by no one.” The world is not going to understand us. I’ll tell you; we're going to know some things that they won't know, and they're really going to think we're the crazy ones. They’re going to say, “There’s something wrong with that person.” You see, we’re tuned in where others are not. We are marching to the beat of a different drum. They can’t understand us because we have the mind of Christ, and they don’t understand Christ.
- How do you seek to have the mind of Christ on an ongoing basis?
- What is something you understood in a new way after coming to faith?
