Actor Anthony Ramos, who stars as Javi in the new film “Twisters,” is a fan of “The Chosen.” In a red-carpet interview with Rotten Tomatoes, Ramos was asked what TV series he was currently watching and would recommend to others.
“I’m watching this show called ‘The Chosen,’” Ramos says in the video. “It’s so good. It’s really good. The first two seasons are on Netflix.”
The Chosen, directed by Dallas Jenkins and produced by Angel Studios, is a massive hit among Christians and recently released its fourth season. The show follows the life and ministry of Jesus Christ and his disciples.
As reported by Deseret, Ramos has starred as John Laurens and Philip Hamilton in the Broadway production of “Hamilton” as well as in Lin-Manuel Miranda’s film adaptation of “In the Heights.”
When starring in Hamilton, he was featured in a “Humans of Broadway” post, in which he addressed his Christian faith.
“I love God. I’m Christian, and I totally believe that there is a plan for everybody who walks on this earth. It’s just about connecting with God and finding out what the plan is that He wants you to walk through, and walking through it keeping your head down and staying focused,” he said.
He has also posted faith-related comments on social media.
“First off, I want to thank my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ,” Ramon tweeted regarding the release of his first album.
First off I want to thank my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ for looking down on ya boy and giving me the juice to tell stories.

Other “Twisters” cast members also shared what TV shows they have been watching and which ones they would recommend. For instance, Daisy Edgar-Jones said “Formula 1: Drive to Survive”, Sasha Lane with “Scandal,” Brandon Perea with “Love Island UK,” and Daryl McCormack with “The Night Of”.
“Twisters,” which was released in theaters on July 19, is the sequel to the 1996 disaster film “Twister.”
“A retired tornado-chaser and meteorologist is persuaded to return to Oklahoma to work with a new team and new technologies,” the film’s synopsis reads, according to IMDb.
