Carol Burnett's Life and Career Celebrated during Special Ceremony

from GodTube.com

Entertainment is one of the most challenging and most competitive fields. The number of people who want to become singers, actors, and actresses is staggering. Everyone seems to want to be on the stage or the big screen, but only a select few achieve that dream and goal.

Carol Burnett is one of those few people who made it. Not only was she able to make a career out of entertaining others, but it’s been a historic one. She is a comedic icon who has kept audiences laughing for decades. The Carol Burnett Show sketches are timeless, often resulting in the cast members laughing as much as the audience.

Because of her many comedic contributions over the years, Carol was honored in a very special way at an iconic Hollywood landmark, The Grauman’s Chinese Theater. A clip posted on YouTube captured the special ceremony, which was attended by some of the biggest names in entertainment, including Dick Van Dyke, Bill Hader, Maya Rudolph and Jimmy Kimmel.

At the ceremony, Carol literally left her mark in front of the famed theater, placing her hands and feet in wet cement.

Everyone in the clip spoke highly of Carol and her work. They also listed the endless awards she has earned throughout her career, including several Emmys, a Grammy, and the Presidential Medal of Freedom.

When it came time for Carol to speak, she mentioned a hilarious memory that shows just how far her gift for comedy has taken her in life.

“We were poor, but we would occasionally come here to the Chinese,” she said. “And it was first-run, so it was more expensive than the second-run theaters. Before we’d leave, my grandmother said, ‘Well, let’s, let's hit the ladies’ room.’ So, we’d go in there and steal all the toilet paper.”

What a talented and funny lady!
