October 23, 2024 – What Does God Want from You?
Romans 12:1-2

Pray Over This
“I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.”
Romans 12:1-2
Ponder This
God loves us and wants our fellowship. God doesn’t want your money; God doesn’t need your money. He wants you! When we give of ourselves and our possessions, we’re not doing God a wild favor. God says in Psalm 50:12: “If I were hungry, I would not tell you; for the world is Mine, and all its fullness.” God loves us for ourselves; He does not need or want what we do not give joyfully, lovingly, or freely to Him. He is saying to you, “Come to me. Return to me.”
You know what the devil does? The devil’s interested in your finances. The devil has ahold of some guy who’s not saved, and he just tempts that man to come to church about twice a year when there is a sermon on tithing. That man will begin to complain, “Well, God is just interested in my money.” That is a lie! The gift without the giver is bare. God doesn’t need your money; He wants your heart and your obedience. Before you give your money, give yourself.
- What would it look like to give God all of yourself? What would change?
- How does it feel to know God wants you, not what you have?
Practice This
Surrender to God all of yourself and put away anything that is hindering your relationship with Him.
