Actor, comedian, and podcast host Russell Brand posted a video last weekend asking his followers, "How Do You Vote for God" this Election season.

"America's BIG DECISION - How Do You Vote For God?" Brand captioned in an Instagram post.

In an accompanying video, Brand said that the United States is on "a precipice of a decision," alluding to the 2024 presidential election before he read from the Old Testament book of Job in the Bible as he would ask his followers how they would vote for God this Election Day.

"Multitudes, multitudes in the valley of decision! For the day of the Lord is near in the valley of decision," he said, quoting from Joel 3:14.

After reading the Scripture, Brand went on to ask his followers if they felt that the world "was on the precipice of a great choice" as well as themselves as individuals.

Regarding the election in the U.S., he asked his followers, especially Americans, which "particular choice" they felt would bring themselves, their family, their community, and their country "closer to God."

"How do we manifest God's kingdom on earth?" he asked. "What sort of values? What sort of principles do we look for?"

Brand then emphasized how we live in a fallen world as humanity itself has fallen.

"We are fallen; the world is fallen. The institutions are fallen," the actor said, noting that there is a "dark power in high places, the worship of worldliness, the yielding to carnality," and  "the submission to the devil."

As he concluded the video, Brand asked his followers who were voting the following question: "What decision can you make, do you believe?"

"What people can you support that will bring God?" he asked before asking for people's thoughts in the comments section.

Brand, who was baptized in April, expressed an interest in Christianity in recent years.

"I've been a Christian a month now, and it's been a big change," Brand said in a TikTok video posted in May. "Not that I've entirely changed as a person. Of course, I haven't, but I've taken on a lot of new concepts, and it changes you to accept that it's not like you're in a game show, and by doing really, really good things, you can get redeemed."
