Day 249
FIRST FRUITS
But Christ has indeed been raised from the dead,
the firstfruits of those who have fallen asleep.
FROM THE FATHER'S HEART
My child, each time you walk into the hospital room of a loved one near death, sadness creeps in, and tears fill your eyes. I love your sensitive heart. Never forget that I died so that you and your loved ones—those who know and love Me—would not fear this moment. I died, but I rose again, the firstfruits of resurrection for all My children. In death, your loved ones—and you—will walk through that tunnel of death to a greater light, the light of My presence. And one day, you will have a totally resurrected body—just like Mine. Weeping is brief, but joy comes in the morning.
A GRATEFUL RESPONSE
Like the very first lily pushing through the earth's crust, You were the firstfruits of death, Lord. You are living proof that death has no victory, and the grave has no barriers. Because of Your resurrection, fear of death has no hold on us anymore. I praise You, Lord, for eternal life.
SIMPLE TRUTH
Death is but a crossing from winter to spring.
