Few questions have plagued the church like the one swirling around the issue of leadership qualifications (I Tim. 3:1-7; Titus 1:6-9), and few of these have been more misued than the ones related to the leader and his children.

Failure is not final. It is inevitable. We are frail human beings. We are mortal. But there is good news!

Do not destroy the work of God for the sake of food (Rom. 14:20). The scale was not impressed with my wishful thinking. It could only tell the truth. Do you know who I'd get mad at? God.

This week we think a lot about Good Friday and Easter. But I had not thought nearly as much about what had to be one of the saddest and most confusing days in history.
