There's already a lot going on behind the scenes as President Trump, America, and the rest of the world gears up for Inauguration Day on January 20th. Certainly, this transition of power already seems like it may be going more smoothly than the last one, and 54 percent of Americans are in agreement that they approve of how Trump is handling his transition into power, according to Rasmussen Reports.
While Trump has already been busy speaking with world leaders and leaders here at home about his plans to make America great again, when the very news that Trump won the election went public, his influence had a near-immediate impact. After publicly confronting the leadership of Canada, their prime minister resigned. Caravans of illegal immigrants planning to flood over the border of the U.S. turned around and went back to their respective countries because of Trump's campaign promise to apprehend and deport them, according to WND.
There was also talk that he may actually be able to bring a resolution to the Russia-Ukraine war and the attacks on Israel as tensions in the Middle East continued to heat up. Certainly, President Trump has a lot on his plate for his first 100 days in office. Here are just 6 things he has in mind to make America great again.

1. Pardoning Those Unfairly Prosecuted

Peaceful protests are woven into the fabric of the way the American government functions. The Founding Fathers did not design America to be a communist nation that puts people in political prison just because they agree with the government. Yet there were many arrests on January 6, 2021 involving people who were not engaging in illegal activity. There were over 1200 individuals prosecuted from nearly all 50 states, according to WND.
Trump has said he will be rolling out pardons, and during a Fox interview picked up by WND, Vice President JD Vance has said one of the criteria that will be looked at is whether or not the person imprisoned was violent or not.
"I think it's very simple. Look, if you protested peacefully on January 6 and you've had Merrick Garland's Department of Justice treat you like a gang member, you should be pardoned," Vance said.
"If you committed violence on that day, obviously, you shouldn't be pardoned. There's a little bit of a gray area there, but we're very much committed to seeing the equal administration of law. There are a lot of people, we think, in the wake of January 6, who were prosecuted unfairly. We need to rectify that," he said.

This is something that could very well happen on day one, depending on how effectively preparations have been to begin the efforts. Certainly Trump has said in the past it's something he wants to do within the first few hours of his first day in office. This will be followed up with an enormous domestic deportation effort that will require assistance from sheriffs, governors, state lawmakers and local law officers, according to AP News.
Because of the anticipated size of the operation, some states are giving their law enforcement the authority to arrest people who entered the country illegally. Others are implementing legislation that would require local law enforcement agencies to notify U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, even if that arrest isn't related to illegal immigration.

He intends to offer tax breaks to America's oil, gas, and coal producers for energy exploration so that America is less dependent on foreign energy, according to NPR.
He also intends to rescind the Biden administration's "Green New Deal" policies.
In doing this, President Trump claims that energy costs to Americans will drop by 50 percent, though that benefit will take about a year to manifest for Americans.

This particular agreement is the international version of carbon emission reductions, according to BBC. America's withdrawal from participating in it would make it easier for America's oil, gas, and coal producers to take steps within America toward energy independence and energy exploration. There would be less red tape for these companies to get permits to do fracking and drilling. This move would also help to reduce energy costs for Americans.

Trump has said he could end this war "in a day" during his campaign. He has not given details as to how that could happen, except that he has a good relationship with Russian President Vladimir Putin and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.
Putin has made a point of letting mainstream media know that he would be willing to sit down with Trump and hammer out a peace deal "anytime," according to Moscow Times.
Putin recently said he has no conditions for beginning talks with Kyiv, though he has also indicated that what he wants to see as part of a peace deal is to be able to keep the land Russia has acquired and for Kyiv to abandon its efforts to become a part of NATO, according to VOA News.

America's confidence in the economy under the Biden administration is still on the decline. Due to inflation, many are still struggling to purchase groceries, fuel, and pay other bills. In fact, America's confidence is down nearly four points from December, according to Rasmussen Reports.
Trump has promised to implement policies that will address high prices and inflation.
"We will target everything from car affordability to housing affordability to insurance costs to supply chain issues," said Trump, according to BBC.
"I will instruct my cabinet that I expect results within the first 100 days or much sooner than that."
Trump has also said he intends to impose tariffs on countries such as China, Canada, and Mexico. He believes the tariffs will keep manufacturers in the U.S., and they are most likely to be implemented by Executive Order, bypassing Congressional bickering and red tape.
