April has finally arrived, ushering in the true essence of springtime.
It’s the season for picnics in the park, long nature walks, and family bike rides along scenic trails. It’s also the season for planting your garden, mowing your lawn, and — in some locations — opening the pool for summer.
And when the occasional April shower rolls in, there's nothing cozier than curling up indoors with a good book or catching up on the latest titles streaming on your favorite platforms.
Thankfully, the major streaming platforms have plenty to offer this month.
Here are seven new titles for families:

1. Just in Time (Great American Family/Pure Flix)
Slide 1 of 7A married couple in relationship turmoil is offered a chance for reconciliation when an elderly stranger enters the picture. This family-friendly romantic movie stars Greyston Holt (Chesapeake Shores) and Tony Award nominee Laura Osnes (One Royal Holiday) and was executive-produced by Candace Cameron Bure.
The plot is unique in that it spotlights a husband and wife instead of an unmarried couple who just met. In a world where reconciliation seems outdated, perhaps we need more movies like it.

2. Space Jam: A New Legacy (Netflix)
Slide 2 of 7NBA star Lebron James gets trapped inside a virtual reality computer system and teams up with the characters from Looney Tunes to try and escape.
It is a sequel to the 1996 film Space Jam and includes the characters you love: Porky Pig, Daffy Duck, Marvin the Martian, Bugs Bunny, and Granny among them.
It’s not as fun as the original, but it’s still worth a watch for basketball fans. Rated PG for some cartoon violence and some language. Clearplay offers a filter.

3. Bluey, Season 3 (Disney Plus)
Slide 3 of 7An energetic Blue Heeler puppy named Bluey continues her adventures with her younger sister, Bingo, and their parents, Bandit and Chilli. It’s the best family-friendly animated series on mainstream television and reminds us of what a loving home should look like.
They laugh. They play. They love. They forgive. They learn. Season 3 offers a few new plot twists: Bluey’s family moves away after his dad gets a job in another city.

4. Ordinary Angels (Home Video)
Slide 4 of 7A hairdresser rallies a church and a community to assist a widower whose daughter is critically ill. The film is based on a true story from the 1990s of a Louisville, Ky., woman who befriends a family in need and helps them get out of debt.
At the end of the film, she helps them get to the airport during a snowstorm for an organ transplant flight. It was made by the same company (Kingdom Story) that released Jesus Revolution and I Can Only Imagine. Oscar-winner Hillary Swank (Million Dollar Baby) portrays the hairdresser.
It’s one of the year’s best movies. Rated PG for thematic content, brief bloody images and smoking.

5. The Wingfeather Saga, Season 2 (Angel Studios)
Slide 5 of 7A family uncovers hidden truths about their ancestral past, evades the sinister Fangs of Dang, and confronts the enigmatic ruler known as Gnag the Nameless.
This animated series, now in its second season, is based on the bestselling children’s fantasy books by Christian singer/author Andrew Peterson which have sold some 1.5 million copies.
It is the most successful crowdfunded animated family series of all time. It’s also one of the best children’s series on any platform in recent years. It’s streaming at Angel.com.

6. Kung Fu Panda 4 (Home Video)
Slide 6 of 7Our favorite kung fu panda warrior — Po (Jack Black) — confronts a shape-shifting villain (the Chameleon) with the help of a new character, a fox named Zhen (Awkwafina).
It’s the latest chapter in a blockbuster franchise and follows Po as he enters a new phase of life and “retires” from his role as Dragon Warrior and protector of the Valley of Peace. It’s a film with a strong pro-adoption film (we meet Po’s biological dad and adoptive dad), although its magic-centric plot will trouble some families.
Rated PG for martial arts action/mild violence, scary images and some mild rude humor. Clearplay offers a filter.

7. Finding Faith (Great American Family/Pure Flix)
Slide 7 of 7A Christian advice columnist on the verge of a breakthrough faces personal tragedy but then finds her purpose when she returns home.
This faith-centric film tells the story of Victoria, a writer who pens inspiring words for the world but questions her faith when her marriage encounters a trial, and her mom dies.
It stars Ashley Bratcher (Unplanned, Vindication) and Jonathan Stoddard (A Royal Christmas Holiday).
