1. God is always with you.
Slide 1 of 5You’re never alone – in all the moments of your life, including when you’re feeling anxious. The Bible reassures you of God’s constant presence. God tells you in Isaiah 41:10: “So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.” So, call on God to help you become aware of how near he is to you. Psalm 145:18 assures you: “The LORD is near to all who call on him, to all who call on him in truth.” You can learn how to notice God’s presence with you by communicating with God often. Life’s challenges can make you feel isolated and abandoned, but God’s promise to be with you stands firm. When the weight of anxiety threatens to crush your spirit, you can find refuge in the comforting truth that God is always by your side, ready to strengthen, support, and sustain you. Even when you’re going through so much anxiety that you feel as though no one understands or cares, God draws near to you with arms open wide. He is not distant or indifferent to your pain, but a loving Father who intimately knows and understands every part of your life. God’s nearness can bring hope to your deepest struggles. Throughout the Bible, you see many examples of God’s faithfulness in the lives of his people. He never abandoned his children then, and he won’t abandon you now. No matter how challenging your anxious feelings are, you can find hope by reaching out to God. God encourages you in Jeremiah 29:13: “You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.”

2. God offers you peace.
Slide 2 of 5In the middle of anxiety, God offers you a perfect peace that transcends your circumstances and even your human ability to understand it. Philippians 4:6-7 says that the way to access that peace is to pray about everything: “Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” The world around you may be filled with chaos and uncertainty, but God’s peace remains constant and unchanging. It is a peace that goes beyond your circumstances to calm your anxious heart and mind. This peace isn’t just absence of trouble; it’s the presence of God himself! Jesus is the Prince of Peace (Isaiah 9:6), and his peace will reign in your life when you surrender your fears and worries to him. Finding peace from God requires an active response on your part. God calls you to bring your anxieties to him in prayer, laying them at his feet with a heart filled with thanksgiving. As you entrust your concerns to God, his peace will flow into your life. You can keep that peace by continuing to focus your thoughts on God, to reflect on God’s promises, and to trust in God’s unfailing love. God’s peace will become a strong fortress around your heart and mind, shielding you even in situations that trigger anxiety, so anxiety won’t overwhelm you.

3. God cares for you.
Slide 3 of 5When anxiety threatens to overwhelm you, you can fight back with the confidence that God cares deeply for you. In 1 Peter 5:7, the Bible encourages you to give the burden of your anxiety to God to handle: “Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.” The troubles of this fallen world can weigh heavily on you, causing you to doubt God’s concern for your well-being. It can be easy to believe the lie that you are insignificant or forgotten. However, the Bible assures you that nothing could be further from the truth. Jesus tells you in John 16:33: “… In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.” God demonstrates his complete and unconditional love for you through the sacrifice of his son, Jesus, who willingly laid down his life on the cross to redeem you and every person who trusts God. Through Jesus’ death and resurrection, you are invited into a relationship with a God who cares for you with an unlimited love.
The Bible declares in 1 Corinthians 13:8 that: “Love never fails.” In your anxious moments, you can turn to God with confidence, knowing that he cares for you with a love that never fails. One of the most profound ways you can see God’s care for you is by looking at the history of God’s work in your life. When you take the time to reflect on the journey you’ve been on, you can see how God has woven together a wonderful tapestry of love for you. You discover moments where God intervened, provided, encouraged, and guided you through a diverse variety of situations. These glimpses into the wonder of God’s work reveal the depth of God’s care for you. God’s care for you is not contingent on your circumstances. Instead, it’s rooted in God’s unchanging character. No matter what challenges you may face that make you feel anxious, you are held securely in the hands of a God who cares for you deeply.

4. God gives you strength.
Slide 4 of 5When you feel weak and overwhelmed, God provides you with the strength you need to persevere. Isaiah 40:31 promises: “But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.” Anxiety can leave you feeling depleted and exhausted, but God will empower you with his strength to endure if you rely on him. God’s strength is not limited by your human frailty; it is inexhaustible. Even if you feel like you can’t take another step forward, God is there for you, ready to give you the power to press on. God’s strength is actually made perfect in your weakness. The Apostle Paul writes in 2 Corinthians chapter 12 that he asked God to take away his weaknesses, but God responded by giving him strength in the middle of those human weaknesses.
2 Corinthians 12:9-10 reports: “But he said to me, ‘My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.’ Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me. That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong.” In your anxious moments, God’s strength shows up. He equips you with everything you need to face and overcome the challenges before you. Finding strength in God requires you to relinquish your reliance on your own abilities and to trust wholeheartedly in God’s provision for you. As you surrender to God’s will and decide to rely on him, God will give you strength in hard times. God will faithfully renew your strength whenever you need more strength to deal with circumstances that make you feel anxious. So, don’t worry, but keep turning to God for strength. Since God is near to you, he will help you in any situation.

5. God listens to your prayers and answers them.
Slide 5 of 5In moments of anxiety, you can turn to God in prayer, knowing that he listens attentively to everything you pray. Psalm 34:17 tells you: "The righteous cry out, and the Lord hears them; he delivers them from all their troubles." Prayer is your lifeline to God – a direct line of communication with the Creator who holds the universe in his hands. When you feel anxious, you can pour out your heart to God. He is always ready to listen and respond. God not only listens to your prayers but also answers them according to his perfect will and timing. As you continue to bring your requests before God in prayer, he promises to guide you, strengthen you, and provide for your every need. Even when God’s answer may not be what you expected or desired, you can trust that he is working all things together for your good. Romans 8:28 points out: “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.” No matter how challenging your circumstances are and how anxious you feel, God will always be near to you, ready to listen to and answer your prayers. So, let your prayers be a continual conversation with God.
In conclusion, when anxiety threatens to consume you, cling to these comforting reminders of God’s nearness. God is always with you. He cares for you with a love that knows no bounds. God’s love is right there with you, nearby whenever you need his help to overcome anxiety. So, enjoy God’s embrace and let his wondrous love fill your soul and give you strength. Since God is by your side, you can face whatever challenges come your way and overcome them.
