What Does "Blessed are the Peacemakers" Mean? (Matthew 5:8)

Jesus said, "Blessed are the peacemakers", these are people that take this conflict ridden world we're in and they're the healing bond to that.

Jesus is defined as the "Prince of Peace," by the way. I mean this is a defining characteristic of who He is as a person. He is the person that made peace between man and God. He is defined in many ways also by this word peace. He says that we ought to be the peacemakers, that means Christians ought to be people that can make peace with almost anyone. We ought to be people that can't be categorized and cornered into a particular place. I mean, we're the people that ought to know everybody. Even if people disagree with us, we ought to be the peacemakers. When we walk into a conflict ridden moment of history, of our family, of our culture, of our friends, we ought to be the people that when we walk in, everybody takes a breath of fresh air because we've been mentored in peace by the Prince of it.

Jesus says, "If you want to be happy, don't fuel the conflict in the world we're living in, but bring peace into it by following Him".
