- Updated Aug 17, 2022
Amanda Idleman has written countless articles for Crosswalk, tackling topics related to marriage, parenting, mental health, foster care, adoption, and homeschooling. She has loved writing since she was little, and found it as her way to connect with the Lord. As someone who loves sharing advice, encouraging others on their faith walks, and processing what the Lord is doing in her own life through the process of writing, Amanda has flourished as a Crosswalk contributor.
Amanda has been married for almost 15 years, and has four kids. She and her husband are foster parents and are currently in the process of adopting. She shares that she and her husband were very anxious when they started foster care, but that the Lord has continued to show His faithfulness in their lives. Where the world shows false perfection, Amanda strives to be authentic and truthful about life struggles. She talks about her experience with anxiety, depression, and hormonal shifts as she became a mother. She frequently writes about the importance of mental, spiritual, and physical well being, as well as having strong support systems. In her articles, she shares the wisdom she has gained in her own life and the hope we have in Christ. Our God is a loving Father and a healer; He extends that gift to all who come to Him.
