Chris Rupp Stunning ‘In The Garden’ A Cappella Rendition
- Updated Jun 14, 2024
Hymns are some of the most beautiful pieces of music. Sadly, they are also often some of the most underutilized. Many churches have abandoned timeless hymns and have chosen to go with more modern, contemporary Christian songs. Many contemporary songs are fantastic, fitting in well with a church’s praise and worship service portion. However, not many, if any, songs can compete with hymns like “Victory in Jesus,” Great is Thy Faithfulness,” and the universally known and loved “Amazing Grace.”
Chris Rupp Stunning ‘In The Garden’ A Cappella Rendition from chrisruppmusic on GodTube.
In the clip above, Chris beautifully performs another hymn beloved by many worldwide, “In the Garden.” The lyrics about walking, talking and spending time alone with the Lord are memorable and beautiful. The lyrics perfectly depict and illustrate the close, personal relationship God desires to have with all of us.
The hymn’s chorus is simple yet so powerful and memorable. Most can likely recite and sing the chorus entirely from memory.
“And He walks with me
And He talks with me
And He tells me I am His own
And the joy we share as we tarry there, none other has ever known”
There are plenty of excellent modern, contemporary Christian singers and songwriters, but only a few songs can or will be able to compete with that chorus. That powerful chorus immediately causes you to feel the weight and emotion of those words every time you hear them.
Chris’s beautiful rendition of the hymn about having a personal relationship with God is performed entirely by the human voice, the one and only instrument created by God himself.
Given the beautiful hymn, Chris’s masterful vocal delivery, and the clip's eye-catching landscapes and scenery, this is one video that you’ll want to watch and listen to repeatedly.
Psalms 105:2 “Let your voice be sounding in songs and melody; let all your thoughts be of the wonder of his works.”
