Secret Santa Surprises Struggling Dad of 4 in Walmart Parking Lot

Secret Santa Surprises Struggling Dad of 4 in Walmart Parking Lot
  • Updated Dec 03, 2024

Life, at times, is not a fun or fair experience. Difficult and troubling circumstances can and do visit everyone without rhyme or reason. It’s because of these hard, random and seemingly inexplicable situations in life that a little bit of kindness, especially at Christmastime, can make a world of difference.

In a clip posted on YouTube, a group of journalists has been sent to surprise Evan. Evan is a husband and father of four, as the man with the microphone explains. Evan’s wife has experienced recent health issues, having undergone a procedure to replace a pacemaker. One of Evan and his wife’s children also have autism and epilepsy. But if that weren’t enough, the family has recently experienced issues with the 2011 minivan, making it an unreliable means of transportation.

But through all the hardships, as the video explains, Evan, who works full-time at Walmart, has been a rock for his family. Not only does he support the family financially, but he is always lending a hand with the kids and is going to school full time as well.

As the video shows, Evan heads out to the parking lot. He’s initially given a check for $1,000. The faithful, loving husband and father cannot believe his luck that someone would give him that amount of money.

But when he learns about his new set of wheels, he’s literally left speechless. On multiple occasions throughout the clip, Evan cannot articulate even a little how he feels about this generous and loving gift.

However, near the end of the clip, Evan is finally able to put into words what this means for him and his family, expressing his gratitude.

“Thank you! This means everything to us,” Evan says as he’s overcome with emotion.

Evan’s genuine and moving response to the gift is enough to move even the most stoic person to tears.

Ephesians 4:32: “And be kind to one another, full of pity, having forgiveness for one another, even as God in Christ had forgiveness for you.”
