'The Manger' Anne Wilson and Josh Turner Sing Christmas Tune
- Updated Dec 21, 2022
Check out this new Christmas tune called ‘The Manger’ by Anne Wilson and featuring Josh Turner.
“They’re putting decorations up in front of my old church, the shepherds and the wise men
And the hay, there’s Joseph and his Mary lookin’ down at Heaven’s birth, and the angel’s
Saying don’t you be afraid, it makes me stop and think about how You showed up down here
In a humble bed made of nails and wood, You could have picked a palace,
Something more fit for a King, but then the story wouldn’t be as good”
What a great song that focuses on the true meaning of Christmas! And in the music video, we see Anne Wilson and Josh Turner recording the song together in the studio.
“There’s something just so special about the night that Jesus was born,” shared Anne Wilson when talking about her new Christmas album. “He came to earth in such a humble and lowly way, and His love was on display for all of us to see. I’m so grateful for this project, and I hope these songs bless you this Holiday season.”
When Anne Wilson shared a behind-the-scenes video of her in the studio with Josh Turner, she expressed how wonderful it was to work with the country singer.
“It was an honor getting to share this song with the incredible Josh Turner,” she captioned the video.
And Josh Turner also praised the song and Anne Wilson on social media. “I was honored to sing with this talented young lady on ‘The Manger,’ an original song for her new Christmas EP,” he said. “Y’all check out this new tune from Anne Wilson.”
On top of releasing her new Christmas album, Anne Wilson also just published her first book titled My Jesus: From Heartache to Hope.
We hope that you enjoyed listening to ‘The Manger’ today and it was able to get you into the Christmas spirit!
