Are you leaning into your hurt? Even if your feelings are valid, they may be lying to you — and you may be opening yourself up to unnecessary pain. We were reminded that healing is found in Jesus, so we don’t have to act like hurt people anymore.
After graduating from Texas A&M University (’03), I earned a master’s degree from Dallas Theological Seminary. I then served as the Student Ministry Pastor of Austin Ridge Bible Church in Austin for five years, the Executive Director of Vertical Ministries in Waco for four years, and the Executive Director of Breakaway Ministries in College Station for five and a half years. Along the way, I earned a Doctor of Educational Ministry degree from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. The best decision I have made in life (next to following Jesus) was marrying my wife Kathryn. We are raising three future Aggies: Noah, Andrew, and Jake. I spend my free time training to become the G.O.A.T in tennis in the “born in 1981, works at Watermark, and is half-Palestinian” bracket. I love teaching the Word of God and consider it an amazing privilege to teach it to the people of Watermark who treasure it and seek to live it out!
